The Saffron Bulb Vessel is inspired by the origin of saffron itself. The recycled glass vessel reflects the bulb from which saffron rises from the ground. An aluminum pin shaped as three saffron stems rests inside, referencing vintage perfume rituals where scent was applied with a pin rather than a spray. The saffron is revealed through this gesture, turning use into a quiet ceremony. Behind the saffron, the pattern of the saffron flower completes the story, connecting ground, bloom, and harvest into one object.
Sustainability
The vessel is made from recycled glass and paired with a reusable aluminum pin. The box is crafted from wood, lined with recycled wood, and wrapped in printed organic linen fabric. Designed for reuse, longevity, and minimal waste.
Impact on local Community
Designed and assembled in the UAE. The piece promotes local saffron production and translates cultural ritual into contemporary design.
